Nancy Elizabeth Baker, 87

McMinnville resident and Bristol, Va., native Nancy Elizabeth Baker, 87, was born June 17, 1927 and died Feb. 27 at River Park Hospital following a brief illness.
A housekeeper and a member of Mt. Leo Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Charles Eugene and Maxie Poole Dickerson. She was married to Walter Andrew Baker, who preceded her in death Jan. 30, 1966. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sons, Richard Kentwood Baker, Gerald Stephen Baker and Brian Carlton Baker.
She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Eugene Frederick Baker of Bristol, Walter Wayne and Barbara Baker of Cleveland, Ohio and Michael Andrew and Joann Baker of Orlando, Fla.; three daughters and son-in-law, Maxine Brown and Lisa Glenn, both of Cleveland, Ohio and Amanda Ellen and Larry Rutledge of Morrison; 14 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at High’s Chapel with Jerry Rutledge officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until the time of service Tuesday at High’s.
High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
