Mazle Mae Burger Prater, 86, died Saturday, Nov. 23, at her home following an extended illness. 
A native of Cannon County, she was a member of Centerhill Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She loved sewing, gardening, quilting and flowers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Carson Burger and Eula West Burger; husband, Sammy Prater; son, Gary Prater; daughter-in-law, Ida Mae Prater; daughters, Peggy Wilson and Patsy Owens; brothers, Medford, Clarence, Arlin, J.C., Bratten and Nolan Burger.
She is survived by three children, Carolyn (Jimmy) Blanton, Judy (Bobby) Irwin and Myron Prater, all of Woodbury; 10 grandchildren Tracy Underhill, Steven Blanton, Carl Blankenship Jr., Megan Warrick, Tonya Cantrell, Brad Prater, Brian Young, Chasity Evans, Nancy Self and Scotty Owens; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Mitchell officiating.  Interment will follow at Centerhill Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Donations may be made to Centerhill Baptist Church, Centerhill Cemetery or the American Cancer Society.
