McMinnville resident and Warren County native Mary Ruth Hillis Carr, 83, died Jan, 25 at River Park Hospital after an extended illness.A retired die cast employee of Magnetek and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, she was the daughter of the late Oliver E. and Fluellar Russell Hillis.She is survived by children and their spouses, Bobby and Pat Carr of Huntsville, Ala., Margaret and Jim Self of Maryville, Gene and Bea Carr of Hayti, S.D., Frank and Margaret Carr, Darlene and Larry Vance, Chuby Carr and Donnie Prater, all of McMinnville; Larry and Melissa Carr of San Antonio, Texas; several grandchildren and great-grandchilden.Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Riverside Cemetery with Scotty Lawson officiating.
