Mary Nelle Martin, 92, of McMinnville died Monday, Jan. 4, at Saint Thomas Stones River Hospital in Woodbury.
She was born June 25, 1923 in Shelby County, Ala., and previously worked at Century Electric, was a homemaker and a member of Ivy Bluff Church of Christ. Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by parents, Alvis Jackson and Hattie Melissa Bentley Wilder; husband Orville Woodrow Martin; son Wayne Martin; brother Freeland Wilder, and sister Annie Mae Wilder.
Survivors include sons, Michael (Cynthia Kay) Martin and Steve Martin, both of McMinnville; grandchildren, Michael Cain (Traci) Martin, Bayly Martin, Christie Vinson, and Sherri (Paul) Daron; great-grandchildren, Aaron Vinson, Leslie Vinson, Jack Daron, Ellie Daron, and Michael Grayson Martin; special niece, Iva Higgins, and special family members Danny and Lisa Higgins, Shannon and Wendy Higgins, and Latesha and Donald Hillis. Other family members and friends also survive.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Brian Reed and Kenneth Mears will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery.
