Mary Jane Woodlee, 82

Mary Jane Woodlee, 82, a McMinnville resident and Warren County native, was born Dec. 6, 1937 and died Nov. 19 at St. Thomas Rutherford following an extended illness.

The retired owner of Stop & Go Market in Irving College and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late John Clark and Annie Jane Farless Hillis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Perry Woodlee; and three brothers-in-law, Jimmy Williams, Clarence “Red” Safley, and Tom Rowland. 

Mrs. Woodlee is survived by daughter Debra Kirby Gibbs of Hertford, N.C., two sons Clinton Eugene (Pam) Hill of Lafayette, TN and Jimmy (Michelle) Hill of McMinnville, grandchildren Alex Hill, Nicholas Hill, Jared Hill, Shaun (Nancye) Hill, Micah Hill and Jaimee (Israel) Quinbar, several great-grandchildren, sisters Betty Williams, Elsie Safley, Evelyn Rowland and Bonnie (Allen) Hitchcock and sisters-in-law, Sarah Frances Woodlee, Nelma (W.C.) Chilton and Nona (Ken) Martin. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A private graveside service and interment will be held for family only. No visitation will be held at High’s. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to the funeral home for funeral expenses. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
