McMinnville resident and Warren County native, Mary Carolyn Tanner McBride, 72, was born March 6, 1949 and died Feb. 5 at NHC Healthcare in McMinnville following an extended illness.           

A retired machine operator with Findlay Corporation and of the Baptist faith, she was the daughter of the late Tom B. and Stella Stembridge McBride. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Joe Daniel “Danny” and Thomas Wayne McBride, and sister Kathy Ann McBride.

Ms. McBride is survived by son Joey (Jamie) Tanner of McMinnville, daughters Teana Tanner and Cindy (Flint) Higgins, both of McMinnville, grandchildren Robert James Tanner, Charles (Renae) Tanner, Andrew (Dakota) Tanner, Braxton Tanner, Noell (Matt) Brown, Russell (Keri) Rutledge, Joshua Rutledge (Casey Cofer), Cody Rutledge, Flint (Kayla) Higgins and Lucas (Katarina) Higgins, and great-grandchildren Wesley, Colton, Dean Higgins, Trevor Rutledge, Piper Rutledge, Conner Tanner, Isabella Tanner, Sequoia Tanner, Waylon Tanner, Hunter Basham, Lakelyn Basham, and Mattalyn Brown.

Funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, at High’s Chapel with Chuck Myers officiating. Burial will follow at Bethany Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of service at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
