McMinnville resident and Warren County native Martha C. Hunter, 78, was born April 30, 1942 and died Jan. 2 at NHC Healthcare.
Retired from the Warren County School System and member of Christ United Methodist Church, she was the daughter of the late James Everett Durham and Nannie Lou Hughes. She was married on to James William Hunter, who preceded her in death on February 28, 2007. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Everett Durham.
She is survived by daughters Rachel (Billy) Bruce of Murfreesboro, and Paige (Ryle) Chastain of McMinnville, son Kirk Webb of New Tazewell, brother Tony Durham of Bristol, and grandchildren, Elizabeth James Chastain and Rhiannon Robinette. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A graveside service and interment will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville with pastor Sommer Worley officiating. No visitation will be held at High’s. Family and friends are to meet at cemetery. Wearing masks and practicing social distancing are strongly requested.
