Marjorie Ruth Martin, 81, a McMinnville resident and Warren County native, was born Feb. 2, 1940 and died May 2 at Erlanger Hospital following an extended illness.

She was a retired custodian and crossing guard with the Warren County School System, a member of East End Drive Church of Christ, and the daughter of the late Harrison Eugene and Catherine Spurlock Biles Sr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Josephine Crabtree, and two brothers, Harrison Biles Jr., and Robert Biles.

Ms. Martin is survived by son, Anthony Biles, granddaughter Ebony Victoria Biles, three sisters and brother-in-law, Sally and Frank Smith, Barbara Biles, and Frankie Dalton all of McMinnville, and brother, George Biles of Nashville. Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews also survive.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 6, at High’s Chapel with Jerry Rutledge officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be Thursday from 12 p.m. until the time of service at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
