McMinnville resident and Unicoi native Marie Dolberry Belford, 77, died April 20 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville after an extended illness.
A homemaker and a member of Sink Creek Missionary Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Commodore Dawson and Nell Grace Whittimore Jones; former husband, Billy Dolberry; son, Dennis Dolberry; daughters, Emma Kay Dolberry and Billie Jean McComis; five brothers and one sister.
She is survived by daughters, Ruth Ann and Vivian Sue Dolberry, both of McMinnville; sons and daughter-in-law, Ronald Dolberry of Smithville, Keith Dolberry of Toledo, Ohio, Allen and Vickey Dolberry of McMinnville; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, two grandchildren raised as her children, Marie A. Dolberry of McMinnville and Eric T. Dolberry of Toledo, Ohio; and brother, Michael Bailey of Detroit, Mich.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. today at High’s Chapel with Kenneth Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Palmyra Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service today at High’s.
High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
