Lt. Col. Charles King Bostick, 83

McMinnville resident and Murfreesboro native Lt. Col. Charles King Bostick, 83, was born Nov. 21, 1930 and died Aug. 23 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness.
A supervisor with Century Electric/ Magnetek and member of Christ United Methodist Church, he was the son of the late Thomas Edwin and Grace Givens Bostick. He was a member of the Tennessee Army National Guard for 36 years, a founding member of the Warren County Rescue Squad and member of the Silver and Gold Band for over 60 years.
Mr. Bostick was married Jan. 8, 1959 to Carolyn Sue Dodson Bostick of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Kym and Rickey Jones and Suzanne Bostick, all of McMinnville; grandson, Eric Lynn Jones and fiancée Francisca Saulmon Ramirez of Conway, Ark.; and granddaughter, Stephanie Elizabeth Jones of McMinnville.
Funeral service was held Tuesday at Christ United Methodist Church with Chuck Overton officiating. A private burial will follow at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels or Nursing Home Christmas both c/o High’s.
High Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
