Lizzie Estelle Burks, 89, of McMinnville died Friday, Dec. 7 at River Park Hospital in McMinnville.
She was born April 6, 1923, in Coffee County and was a retired employee of Genesco Shoe Corporation, and a member of First Assembly of God.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Shirley Burks; daughter and son-in-law, Hazel and Earl Barr, grandchildren Vanessa (Phil) Ingram, Renee Pinkerton, and Mark (Kim) Barr; great-grandchildren Reagan Ingram, Brooke Pinkerton, and Blaine Pinkerton; three great-great grandchildren, special nieces Olene (Coy) Jordan, Mildred McNatt, Lois (Tyron) Argo, and Joyce Talbert; special nephew, Ray Talbert; special friends, Don and Azzlene Wright, and Gary and Gail Dodson.
She was preceded in death by special nephew Wayne Talbert.
Funeral service is 3 p.m. today at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Sammy Lee, Rev. Gary Rose, and Rev. Coy Jordan will officiate. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. The Burks family will receive friends Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.
