Rock Island resident and Van Buren County native Liston Gale Hitchcock, 92, was born March 18, 1925 and died Oct. 12 at his residence. A farmer, a United States Army veteran of WWII, and a member of McElroy Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Morris S. and Leona Jaco Hitchcock. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Leffie and Flavis Hitchcock; and two sisters, Grace Drake and Shirley Brady.
