Linda Pedigo Caviness, 66

Warrenton, Va., and DeKalb County native Linda Pedigo Caviness, 66, died May 4 at her home.She was born in DeKalb County on Nov. 20, 1945 and moved with her family to the Shellsford area of Warren County in 1947. She was the daughter of the late Wesley and Mary Elizabeth Moore Pedigo and was preceded in death by father-in-law, Cetus Caviness of Germantown.She graduated from Central High School in McMinnville in 1963 and was the salutatorian of her senior class. She received her bachelor degree from Memphis State University and spent more than 25 years as an educator, first as an instructor at Tennessee Tech in Cookeville, then as a teacher at Warren County High School and in South Orange Maplewood School District in Maplewood, N.J., primarily teaching foreign languages.She married her husband of 35 years, Albert Wayne Caviness on April 9, 1977.
