Linda Kay Reed, 68, a Morrison resident and Painesville, Ohio native, was born Sept. 3, 1945 and died May 23 at her residence following an extended illness.
She was a retired employee of McMinnville Garment Company, a member of Pioneer Community Church and daughter of the late Isabelle Kelly Fleming and Charles Gatchel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by stepmother, Emma Gatchel; brother, Neil Gatchel; sister, Carolyn Randall and stepbrother, Jerry Webb.
Ms. Reed is survived by two daughters, Sherry (Danny) Hullett and Tracy (Roy) Esmeyer of McMinnville; two sons, Bobby Wellman and Rusty Wellman of McMinnville; four grandchildren, three step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; stepfather, Herbert Fleming of Morrison; sister, Elizabeth Murphree of Alabama; stepsister, Carol Fults of McMinnville; stepbrother Jimmy Webb of Morrison; several nieces and nephews; best friend of 60-plus years, Yvonne White of West Virginia and special friends from the Garment Company.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at High’s Chapel with Jon Ballard to officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. Sunday until time of service at High’s.
