Holland, Ohio resident and McMinnville native Linda G. Bates Young, 72, was born June 9, 1943 and died Dec. 9 at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio following an extended illness. A retired nurse’s aide, she was the daughter of the late Toy and Hazel Starkey Bates. She was married Oct. 13, 1961 to Glenn Montgomery Young, who preceded her in death.
