Trusting in the finished work of her Lord and Savior, Lillian Maxwell Newport, 94, of Cordova, formerly of McMinnville and Nashville, died Saturday, Aug. 18. She was an active member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Nashville where she participated in several church and community activities. For the last six years she lived with her loving daughter Amy Shipman where she was able to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
