Lester Ray Comstock, 92, died Monday, Jan. 11 at Raintree Manor in McMinnville. He was born Sept. 8, 1923 in Parkersburg, W.Va., to Lewis Raymond and Oddie Dailey Comstock, who preceded him in death along with his son, Robert Comstock; sisters, Roberta Wooley and Edith Conger; brother, Charles Comstock and an infant brother, Robert Comstock and infant twin siblings.He was a member of the Church of Christ and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Harriet June Hagelbarger Comstock of McMinnville; son, Roger (Charlotte) Comstock of McMinnville; daughters, Ellen (Paul) Ostrander of Sevierville and Peggy (David) Watson of Middleburg, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Lassiter Funeral Home, 11337 Upper Gilchrist Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio.
