Old Hickory resident and Memphis native Leland Andrew Norris III, 59, was born March 3, 1955 and died Aug. 5 at his residence following a sudden illness.
A videographer and United States Coast Guard veteran and an attender of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Leland Andrew and Dora Hayden Henegar Norris Jr.
He is survived locally by aunt, Sara Henegar Moore and several cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John Bernard and Robert Hayden Norris; maternal grandparents, John Bernard and Sarah Lou Stroud Henegar and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Andrew Norris Sr.
A memorial graveside service and inurnment will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mt. View Cemetery with Tyree Smith officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Ministry P.O. Box 7448, McMinnville, 37111.
