McMinnville resident and Warren County native Kenneth Wayne Colwell, 68, was born Dec. 31, 1950 and died Jan. 9 at Cumberland River Hospital in Celina following an extended illness.
Retired from Carrier Corporation and a member of Locust Street Church of God, he was the son of the late Gussie Howard and Delma Nadine Rackley Colwell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, James, Billy Wayne and George Caldwell; and three sisters, Josephine Vanatta, Helen Hillis and Ruby Beaty.
He is survived by daughter Yuvonne Colwell of McMinnville; four sisters Mary Spry and Juanita Tripp, both of Elkhart, Ind., and Louise Simmons and Jean Simmons, both of Manchester, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at High’s Chapel with Jeff Page officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 3 to 8 p.m. and from 10 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
