Kenneth Homey Johnson died after a valiant battle with cancer.

On the morning of April 12, Kenneth died after a valiant battle with cancer while being comforted by his wife and surrounded by family members.
Kenneth was born in Shelbyville on June 28, 1963. He was known for his genuine spirit, his positive attitude and his incredibly handsome smile. He loved taking long rides on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle with friends and spending as much time as possible in nature. He was also an accomplished piano player, songwriter and singer. He had a deep love and respect for all living creatures, especially dogs and cats.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Johnson Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Helen A. Johnson of Morrison; son Kenneth Nathaniel of Cleveland, Ohio; mother, Ruby Anderson of Smyrna; brother Robert L. Johnson Jr. (Brenda) of Murfreesboro; sisters Gloria Wallace (Anthony) of Opelousa, La., and Delanna Malone (Scotty) of Smyrna. He is also survived by four grandsons and one granddaughter; 17 nephews, 15 nieces, 18 great-nephews, 16 great-nieces and his Bridgestone family and a vast host of other friends and extended family members.
A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, April 16 at 3 p.m. at United Steel Workers Local 1155L at 180 Arch Cope Road in Morrison.
