Mr. Kelly Smartt, 76, died Friday, Oct. 2, at his home in the care of family near Viola. He was born Oct. 7, 1938, in Grundy County, was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a retired truck driver with Cumberland Lumber Mfg. and was a member of Rockliff Church of Christ where he worshiped. Mr. Smartt was preceded in death by his parents Jessie and Lottie Fults Smartt, twin sisters and several brothers.Survivors include his wife of 29 years Glenda Smartt, daughters Melissa (Russell) Woodlee and Tina (Mike) Mullins, sons Philip (Lisa) Smartt, Paul Smartt and Crystal Scott and Danny (Brittany) Smartt, grandchildren Courtney and Ethan Woodlee, Blake DeLong, Jenna Mullins, Stephen and Jonathan Smartt, Alyson and Alexa Smartt and Max Smartt, great-grandchild Hailey Reynolds, and sisters Carolyn Kilgore and Mildred (Linuel) Tate.Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel.
