Mr. Joseph Owens McReynolds Jr., 79, of McMinnville passed from this life Thursday, Oct. 22, at his home.
Joseph was born Thursday, July 10, 1941 in Milan, Tenn., the son of the late Joseph McReynolds Sr. and the late Sophia Bryant Stiles. He was the husband of Dorothy McDowell McReynolds.
He was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Blue Springs Cove Church of Christ.
Joseph is survived by his wife Dorothy McReynolds of McMinnville, one son, Randy McReynolds and Karla of McMinnville, three daughters, JoDean Wade and husband Tim of Monteagle, Donna Bell of Morrison, Becky Smith of Morrison, stepdaughter Janey Bouldin of Bone Cave, stepson Gene Dodson of Manchester, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, sister Mildred Hillis of Spencer and brother and sister-in-law J.L. and Joyce McReynolds of Spencer, sister and brother-in-law Earl and Iva Doyle of McMinnville, grandchildren Kian McReynolds, Kayla Bell, Attonda Bell, Corey Smith , A.J. Wade and Kory Lytle and Troy (Kendra) Lytle, great-grandchildren Jaden Villarreal, Leilynn Smith, Hayden Smith, Trevor Bell, and Braxton Bell.
He was preceeded in death by parents Joseph O. McReynolds and Sophia Stiles, sister and brother-in-law Sonya and Neil Woods and Brother Samual McReynolds and nephew Timothy Lawson son William Bain (Jr), stepdaughter Sheila Maples and stepson Billy Dodson, son-in-law Lynn Bell, sister-in-law Jean Campbell.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home. Funeral service and military rights for Mr. Joseph Owen McReynolds will be held Monday, Oct. 26, at 2 p.m. at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home with Gary Newby and Jerry Hudson officiating. Interment with military rights will be in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Smart Station.
