Johnnie Jane Heard Brown, 90, of McMinnville, died Thursday, Sept. 28, at Saint Thomas River Park Hospital. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and good friend, she was born Sept. 25, 1927, in Grundy County, was a member of First United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Seekers Sunday School Class and the United Methodist Women Organization. She graduated with a BS degree in pharmacy from Samford University (formerly Howard College), was a member of Lamba Kappa Sigma Society, and previously worked for Crouch Drugs and Templeton Drug Store prior to joining the staff of River Park Hospital as the first head of the Pharmacy Department for some 20-plus years.
