Mr. John Walden Morris of McMinnville passed away Wednesday, Nov. 28, in Nashville.  

He was born in Nashville to the late Harold and Marguerite Walden Morris. Mr. Morris is a 1967 graduate of East Nashville High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. John married the love of his life, Mary Jane Veile, in 1968. He worked as power plant operator for TVA over 30 years.

Mr. Morris is survived by his wife, Mary J. Morris of McMinnville; daughters Emily Crisp and Cherilynn Loggins; brothers and sister, Harry “Gip” Morris, Randy Morris and Susan Dyer; and grandchildren Josie, Donovan, Taelynn, Bradyn, Bronson, Drake, Mason and Easton.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, at Mount Olivet Funeral Home in Nashville.  Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Historical Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 12 to 2 p.m. Serving as pallbearers are Randy Morris, Scott Morris, Kevin Morris, Donald Crisp, Donovan Crisp, Jerome Dillard, Jason Medley and Emmet Upton.
