Joe T. Cantrell Sr., 85, a McMinnville resident and Hamilton County native, was born Oct. 17, 1931 and died Sept. 7 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center following a sudden illness.He was a veteran of the Tennessee Army National Guard, retired butcher with Kroger and grounds keeper with Warren County Memorial Airport, member of Bybee Branch Church of Christ and son of the late Robert Herman and Emma Mae Pennington Cantrell. Mr. Cantrell was married March 22, 1953 to Mary Lois Cantrell, who preceded him in death on May 14, 2014. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by brother, William Eugene Cantrell; and sister, Roberta Thompson.
