Joe A. Kinnard, 85, native of Hoopeston, Ill., and resident of Warren County, died at River Park Hospital on May 28 after a long illness.
Mr. Kinnard retired from Saint Thomas Hospital after several years of service. He was an active member of Shellsford Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mavis of Camden; parents, Robert and Viola Nance Kinnard and two brothers Elbert Kinnard and Robert Kinnard Jr., all of Illinois.
Surviving are his wife, Alice Langford Kinnard; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Alma Fariss of McMinnville, Gilbert (Olga) Kinnaird of Cookeville, Eugene (Dean) Langford of McMinnville, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be conducted by Dr. David Daugherty. Interment will follow at Shellsford Cemetery. The Kinnard family will receive friends Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.mcminnvillefuneralhome.com.
