Joan Frances Mealy, 79, of McMinnville died Saturday, Feb. 2, at Medical Center of Manchester. She was born Dec. 23, 1933 in Warren County and was a retired educator with the Warren County School System, and a member of First Baptist Church. Ms. Mealy was preceded in death by parents George Washington and Harriett Hortense Martin Simmons and her brother, Anthony Ray (Tony) Simmons.Survivors include her sister, Lila Pearson; niece, Melissa Simmons; nephews, Brad Anthony Pearson and wife Rhonda and Warren B. Pearson and wife Kelley; great-niece, MacKenzie Pearson; and great-nephews, Chase Pearson and Brandon Wolliver.Funeral service is 1 p.m. Thursday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel.
