Jimmy Grant Blankenship, 80, of McMinnville died Monday, Aug. 1, at his residence. He was born March 11, 1936, in Warren County, was a retired educator, coach and principal with the Warren County School System for 36 years, and a lifetime member of Gath Baptist Church where his served as a missionary to Jamaica, Sunday School teacher, and deacon. Mr. Blankenship retired from the National Guard as a master sergeant, served as a County Commissioner of the 11th District for 22 years, and was a supporter and deliverer of meals to the local Meals on Wheels program.
