McMinnville resident and Paint Rock, Ala., native Jimmie Lee Bunch, 66, was born June 13, 1946 and died May 6 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville following an extended illness.The retired manager at King’s Auto Salvage, a retired nurseryman and member of the Methodist Church, he was the son of the late John Thomas and Alice Pearl Wampler Bunch Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, John Thomas Bunch Jr.; grandson Jacob Bunch, and four sisters, Beatrice Christian, Edna Hasty, Daisy Thaxton and Mable Blew.He was married to Mary Elizabeth Cox Bunch of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Jimmy Lee Bunch Jr., Timmy Lynn Bunch, and Richard Rene Bunch, all of McMinnville; stepson, Thomas “Tommy” Mears and wife Ellen of McMinnville; brother and sister-in-law, E.L. and Lucille Bunch of Woodbury; two sisters and brother-in-law, Virginia Joe and Noah Chisam of McMinnville and Mary Ruth Barrett of Woodbury; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; special nephew and family, J.R. and Kay Johnson and Punkin; special friends, Mr. and Mrs. John Denvy, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Teddy Boyd, and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Kirby.Funeral service was held Thursday at High’s Chapel with Joe King and Mike Lorance officiating.
