Jewell Dean Vaughn, 84, of Smithville (Oak Grove community) died Tuesday, April 26 at Saint Thomas West Hospital in Nashville. He was born Jan. 1, 1932, in DeKalb County and was a retired nurseryman, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and member of Trinity Baptist Church. Mr. Vaughn was preceded in death by parents Floyd and Mary Della Adcock Vaughn, sisters Ruby Young and Reba Harris, brothers J.D. Vaughn, Amos Reed Vaughn, and Gene Vaughn.
