Jess Whitley “J.W.” Taylor, 98, died Aug. 17. He was born on July 1, 1916 in Brush Creek. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of McMinnville, a past member of the Noon Rotary Club, Gideons, American Legion, and McMinnville Housing Authority Board.He was preceded in death by his parents, Jess Whitley Taylor and Ada Frye Taylor, three brothers and four sisters, and grandson-in-law, Joseph Lyle.He is survived by his wife of 76 years, Helen Turner Taylor; daughter, Susan Miller (Michael); sons.
