Jerry Harmon Beechum, age 76, of McMinnville passed from this life Wednesday, Aug. 21, at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro.

Jerry was born Thursday, May 13, 1943 in Big Sandy, Tenn. He was the son of the late Benton Beechum and the late Manie Alsup Beechum. Jerry is survived by his wife Linda Paquin Beechum; four sons Anthony Ray Beechum, Randall Hue Beechum and wife Linda, Richard Dale Beechum, David Michael Beechum and wife Misty; two daughters Sherry Lynn Burnett and husband Nathan, and Nichole Lee Martin; eight grandchildren Jeffery Beechum, Lisa Beechum, Emma Beechum, Emily Pennington, Grady Burnett, John Flores, Michael Ollinger, and Lola Beechum; nine great-grandchildren; sister Cora Jean Earls; brother Donald Ray Beechum, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his brother James Troy Beecham, and two sisters Carol Ruth McCormick and Joyce Ann Mangrum.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home with Chris Seals officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Smartt. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, and again Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home. He served in the United States Army.
