Jeral Russell Morgan, 81, of McMinnville died Friday, Aug. 26 at River Park Hospital.
He was born July 23, 1930, in Warren County and was the owner of J&J Auto Sales, a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War, and a member of Northside Baptist Church. Mr. Morgan was preceded in death by his parents Ammon (Coy) and Anna Elizabeth Davis Morgan, son Russell Wayne Morgan, and three brothers Horace, Arlis Clifton, and Flaval Morgan.
Survivors include his wife Dorothy McBride Morgan, son and daughter-in-law, Joey and Debbie Morgan, daughter Sherry Clendenon, daughter and son-in-law Jeanette and Kenneth Rogers; and daughter-in-law. Teresa Carol Morgan all of McMinnville; grandchildren Dale and Holly Rogers, Macaulli Morgan Clendenon, and Holly Sue Morgan, step-grandchildren Keri and Dillon Powell and Kayla and Robbie Matheny, great-grandchild Abe Rogers and step great-grandchildren Jace Matheny and Dawsyn Powell. Several nieces, nephews, family members, and friends also survive.
Funeral service is 2 p.m. today at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Steve Holt and Jeremy Kliewer will officiate. Interment will follow at Webb Cemetery. Military grave rites will be administered by American Legion Post 173 and VFW Post 5064. The Morgan family will receive friends today from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.
