A memorial service for Jean Holloway Hemphill, 85, of McMinnville will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 6 at Higgins Funeral Home with Paul Roberts officiating.
Mrs. Hemphill died Thursday, May 28, at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.
Mrs. Hemphill was a native of Lincoln County, the daughter of the late Frank and Bernice Sorrells Holloway. She was a secretary and was a retired bookkeeper for Hemphill Tire. She enjoyed church, volunteering at River Park Hospital, reading, and spending time with family.
Survivors include her daughters Ann Hemphill, Pat Hemphill Cavender, both of Fayetteville, Carol (Gary) Hemphill Stinson of Hendersonville; grandchildren, Jonathan Stinson, Brandon Stinson, Jennifer (Anthony) Cummings, Jay Cavender; great-grandchildren, Jadon, Zailie, and Tylie Cummings, and sister Foncene (Fred) Venn of Arizona. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bryce Hemphill, siblings Inez Freeman, Ruth Leal and Milton Holloway.
Visitation with the family will be Saturday, June 6, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.
