J.C. Ware, 89

McMinnville resident and Warren County native J.C. Ware, 89, was born Oct. 25, 1927 and died March 27 at his residence following an extended illness.
A retired employee of Tennessee-Carolina Transportation, Ware’s Harley-Davidson and Amplified Audio, and a member of the Baptist faith, he attended Oasis Church. Mr. Ware was the son of the late Bart Ware and Beatrice Greene Norrod. In addition to his father and mother, he was preceded in death by stepfather, Clarence Norrod; daughter Cathy Talley; sister Pauline Provau; and son-in-law Maurice Burger.
He was married to Shirley Ware of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by six children, Sandra Burger, Jackie and Kenneth Ware, Kelly Ross and Joe Ross, all of McMinnville, and John Ross of Cookeville; 15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brother Billy Norrod of McMinnville; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service and interment will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, at Faulkner Cemetery at Pike Hill with Steve Breedlove officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
