James William Franklin “Billy” Helton, 82, of McMinnville (Centertown community) died Monday, Feb. 2, at his residence. He was born Nov. 12, 1932 in Warren County and was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving in the Korean Conflict, founder of Helton Inc., and a member and elder of Bates Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Mr. Helton was preceded in death by his parents Thomas Judson and Lillie Belle Nelson Riner Helton; brothers, Calvin Eugene Riner, J.T. Helton, Thomas Helton, and Hubert Helton; sisters, Nora Dotson, Ellen Marie Helton, Ruth Harrell, Bessie Cannon, and Sallie Helton.
