McMinnville resident and Warren County native James Larry Pegg, 69, was born Sept. 14, 1949 and died April 4 at Raintree Manor following an extended illness.

A retired concrete laborer and a member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late James Alvin and Alta Inez Roberts Pegg.

He is survived by three children, Tanya (Adam) Irish of McMinnville, Nelson Pegg of Murfreesboro, and Terri Slatton of Morrison, four grandchildren, Austin Cardin, Cameron Cardin, Ryan Bell and Tyler Slatton; brother and sister-in-law Skip and Merrilyn Pegg of the Centertown community; aunt Faye Mix of McMinnville; nieces and nephews, Chris Pegg, Sunshine Cook, Kim Hillis and Kristie Pegg; and several cousins.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 13, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Mt. Leo Church of Christ Fellowship Hall. An inurnment will be held at Armstrong Cemetery at a later date. There will be no visitation or service at High's. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
