James Kelvin Sweeton, 59, died Saturday Feb. 21 at River Park Hospital ER in McMinnville. He was born in Gruetli-Laager on Nov. 17, 1955 to James Sweeton and Essie Jean Henderson, who preceded him in death along with his brother Sammy Byers and wife Carolyn Sweeton.He is survived by his sisters, Paula (Brook) Johnson of Manchester, Lana Givens of Lebanon and Johnnie Kay Ellis of Chatsworth, Ga.; stepsons, Richard (Crystal) Rhea, Micky and Jeremy Rhea of McMinnville; eight grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Sister Vickie Henderson officiating with burial to follow at Hill’s Creek Cemetery at Irving College.
