McMinnville resident and Warren County native James “Jim” Marlon Crim, 75, was born Feb. 10, 1946 and died Jan. 31 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville following a sudden illness. Jimmy went very peacefully as he was ready to meet his Lord and Savior.
Mr. Crim was a United States Navy veteran of Vietnam and former owner and operator of Byars Heating and Air for ten years prior to becoming a service consultant for Lennox Industries for thirty- two years. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church and the son of the late Frank and Dorothy Mullican Powell. Jim was married to Janice Cope Crim of McMinnville on May 1, 1970.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Crim is survived by two children and spouses, Matt and Donna Crim of Lafayette, TN and Wendy and Brian Anderson of Mt. Juliet, three grandchildren and spouse, Erica Davis, Emily and Tyler Ellis and Addyson Anderson; first great-grandchild on the way; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary and Elaine Powell and Tommy and Angel Powell, both of McMinnville, brother-in-law, Larry Hobbs of McMinnville, special uncle, Henry Mullican of Sparta, and several nieces and nephews.
Per Mr. Crim’s wishes, he will be cremated. A celebration of life will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb 6, at High’s Chapel with Mike Lee officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Meals on Wheels. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
