James Jamie Vaughn, 70

Funeral services for James “Jamie” Vaughn, 70, of Crawford will be conducted Sunday, Nov. 3 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Masonic rites were conducted Nov. 2. Rev. Nolan Cantrell and Rev. David Harris will officiate with interment to follow at Honey Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Vaughn was born June 11, 1943 in Cookeville to the late James Paul and Maxine Garrett Vaughn. Mr. Vaughn died Friday, Nov. 1. at his home. He was a member of Green Pond Masonic Lodge 703 where he was Past Master and former secretary. He was a member of Shiloh Masonic Lodge 637 and Green Pond Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 482, serving as a past worthy patron. He held various district masonic offices such as Deputy District Chairman. He owned Vaughn Ginseng and Herbs. He worked in aviation assembly with Aerostructures. He was a Shriner with Al Menah Temple, an Overton County Bee Keeper and a member of Three Forks Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Ginn Vaughn; two daughters, Marcy Vaughn of Crawford, Renita Cantley of Crawford; two stepsons and daughter-in-law, Roger and Gina Farmer of McMinnville, Darryl Farmer of McMinnville; granddaughter, Sydney Vaughn of Crawford; step-granddaughter, Kayla Guertin of McMinnville; and special family friend, Tim Newberry of Crawford. He was preceded in death by his brother, Frankie M. Vaughn.
Goff Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
