McMinnville resident and Warren County native James Claude Norrod, 69, was born April 3, 1947 and died Jan. 6 at his residence following a brief illness. A self-employed heavy equipment operator and a member of the Church of God of Prophecy, he was the son of the late Claude Benton Norrod and Rosie Lee Hale Simmons. In addition to his father and mother, he was preceded in death by stepfather Johnny Simmons.
