Shelbyville resident and Warren County native James Charlie Carrick, 66, was born Jan. 5, 1945 and died Nov. 27 at Life Care Center of Tullahoma following an extended illness. An employee of the Tennessee Highway Patrol and member of the Presbyterian Church, he was the son of the late Dallas Bedford and Nettie Florence Lance Carrick. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Randall and Cecil Carrick, and one sister, Estelle Fitts.
