James Arlin Grissom, 69

McMinnville resident and Warren County native James Arlin Grissom, 69, was born July 24, 1946 and died Oct. 21 at Saint Thomas River Park Hospital following a seven-month illness.
A nurseryman and a member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late James Thomas and Dorothy Mae Clark.
He was married May 15, 1972 to Jene Grissom of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children, Arlene Randolph and Russell Pease, Jimmy Grissom and Marty Childress, and Jennifer Grissom, all of McMinnville, and Darlene Sylvester of Chicago, Ill., and Jeff and Lisa Grissom of Smithville; and 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in High’s Chapel with Pokie George officiating. Burial will follow at Smyrna Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Monday at High’s.
High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
