Hubert Nelson Turner, 75, a Smithville resident and DeKalb County native, died May 21 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville following a three-week illness. He was self-employed in lawn care and son of the late Joe and Martha Naomi West Turner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Aubrey Lee, James Gentry and Robert Turner.
