McMinnville resident and Gillett, Wis., native Howard Sidney Hanson, 81, was born Feb. 8, 1932 and died Jan. 22 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville following a one-month illness.A retired serviceman with the United States Air Force, a veteran of Vietnam, and a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, he was the son of the late Sidney Russell and Lucille Lillian Luebeck Hanson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother Gerald Hanson.He was married April 18, 1964 to Willis Mae Hanson of McMinnville.
