Horace David Melton, 93, of McMinnville died Friday, July 18 at Raintree Manor Nursing Center in McMinnville. He was born April 3, 1921, in Cannon County and was a U.S. Army veteran during World War II, a retired tool and die setter with Budd Wheels & Company, a retired cattle farmer, and a member of the Church of Christ at Unity. Mr. Melton was preceded in death by parents William and Mary Ford Melton, wife Evelyn Marie Stanley Melton; sisters Pauline Francis, Ann Roden, Cindy Carmene Gunter Turner, and Agnes Byrd, and brother William Melton.Survivors include daughter Brenda (Tom) Lekki, son David (Beverly) Melton, grandchildren Chris (Kayla) Lekki, Matthew (Kati) Lekki, Jennifer Melton, Erika Rust, and Derek (Nicole) Rust, great-grandchildren Aleigha Lekki, Jon Lekki, Braxton Rust, and Audrey Watson and brother, Clebren Melton.
