Mr. Homer Daniel (Danny) James, 85, of McMinnville, died Friday, Oct. 14, 2022, at NHC Health Care Center in McMinnville. He was born Nov. 9, 1936, in Smithville, was a Baptist, retired as a mechanical engineer, served in the Tennessee Army National Guard, and was preceded in death by parents, Bobby and Wilma Moore James; and a sister, Gina Gail James.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Ella Faye McCoy James and many family members and friends.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, at Long Cemetery in Van Buren County. Bro. Bob McCoy will officiate. There will be no visitation at the funeral home as family and friends will meet at the cemetery.
