McMinnville resident and Warren County native Helen Veninta Jordan Smith, 93, was born July 17, 1930 and died June 13, 2024 at her son's residence following an extended illness.
A retired employee of McMinnville Garment Company and Hale's Dry Cleaners and a member of the Assembly of God, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Mary Rogers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by both husbands, Fred Jordan and Truman Smith and sisters, Sammy Faye Rogers, Betty Jordan and Barbara Nunley.
She is survived by daughter, Deborah Bouldin of McMinnville; son, Lamuel Thomas Jordan of McMinnville; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Josephine Blakely of McMinnville; brother, Burnell (Jimmie) Rogers of McMinnville and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 16 in High's Chapel with Nathan Jones to officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation was Saturday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at High's.
