Gusell “Gussie” Nevitt Hillis, 96, of Louisville, Ky., died Thursday, Dec. 17.
 She was born Aug. 9, 1919, in Louisville and graduated from Louisville Girls High School in 1938, attended Spencerian Business College, was a homemaker, and a longtime member of Farmdale Baptist Church. Mrs. Hillis was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Glen Freeman Hillis; and her mother Anna Mae Nevitt.
Left to cherish her memory are son Glenn Hillis (Barbara); daughter Debbie Sachleben (Ed); four grandchildren, Christi O’Bryan (Tony), Craig Hillis (Donna), Brian and Laura Sachleben, and five great-grandchildren, Jordan and Isaac Hillis; Brooke, Bradley, and Breanna O’Bryan.
Her service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Ricky Arnold will officiate. Burial will follow at Crain Hill Cemetery at Van Buren County.
