McMinnville resident and Van Buren County native Grover Louis Myers, 81, died April 2 at River Park Hospital after an extended illness.An former inspector at Powermatic, a member of Bonner Church of Christ, and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, he was the son of the late Robert Lee and Ida Pearl Byrd Myers. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers Leonard, Victor, Vestor, Alvin and Claudie Myers, and sister Bertha Walling.He is survived by his wife Helen Broom Myers of McMinnville, sons and daughter-in-law Louis Myers of McMinnville, and Stanley and Tracie Myers of Rock Island, grandchildren Laura Miller and husband Brandon of McMinnville, Lisha Myers of McMinnville, Dakota Myers of Rock Island, and Casey Myers of Manchester.Funeral service is Tuesday at 1 p.m. at High’s Chapel with Tim Long officiating.
